Elizabeth Tanguay, Director of the OHT

It’s no longer a secret: Elizabeth Tanguay has accepted the position of Director of the Ottawa East Health Ontario Health team.

Some of you may already know her. She completed her Masters of Health Management residency at Montfort last summer. Her work focused on integrated governance, specifically identifying the key elements of an optimal governance framework to support the OHT as it evolves in the context of system transformation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Communication from Université Laval and, more recently, a Master’s degree in Health Management from the University of Ottawa.

Elizabeth has 20 years of experience in the health sector in communications, marketing, business development and partnerships, as well as team management. For her, health is “the ultimate wealth”, which is why she is so involved.

“I am affected by inequities. That’s why I did my MHA. To help address present and future barriers in health care.”

If she’s (almost) always zen, it’s probably due to her love for yoga and the outdoors. If anyone understands what holistic health means, it’s her. Her many professional experiences, coupled with her involvement as Chair of the Board for a non-profit organization operating as a cooperative, made her the perfect candidate to guide our Health team in achieving its goals.

“It is a privilege and an honour for me to join the Eastern Ottawa Ontario Health Health team.
