Winning Strategies for Serving Francophone Clients

As part of the Réseau's strategy with Ontario Health Teams (OHTs), and in collaboration with the Kids Come First Health Team, the Réseau has developed winning strategies to help all health service providers improve the QUALITY and ACCESS to French-language services. The protocol brings together a set of winning strategies and the tools to implement them.

WHAT ARE THE WINNING STRATEGIES ?

6 simple, effective and pragmatic actions to implement within all organizations to promote the active offer of French-language services. 


OBJECTIVES

1- Promote an active offer of more effective and accessible French-language health services for Francophones, and;

2- Develop the capacity to refer clients to French-language services when necessary. 


All tools are presented in an easy-to-use directory and can be downloaded from the website French Language Health Services Network of Eastern Ontario.

Dans le cadre de la stratégie du Réseau avec les équipes Santé Ontario (ÉSO) et en collaboration avec l'Équipe Santé Enfants avant tout, le Réseau a développé des stratégies gagnantes qui ont comme objectif d'aider tous les fournisseurs de services de santé à améliorer la QUALITÉ et l’ACCÈS aux services en français. Le protocole regroupe un ensemble de stratégies gagnantes et d'outils afin de mettre celles-ci en œuvre.

In June 2023, the Archipel Ontario Health Team launched a project to facilitate the implementation of online appointment booking (OAB) systems for health service providers. The project is led in collaboration with Ontario Health and members of the Archipel Primary Care Network. Seven primary care clinics in Ottawa East are participating, and five of them have gone live with their systems.
