Heidi is a registered practical nurse (RPN) with extensive professional experience rooted in the realities of the system. Known for her dedication to patients and the Hawkesbury community, she uses her expertise and perspective to continuously improve care in her region. Heidi is also a member of the Patient and Family Advisory Committee at the Hawkesbury General Hospital.

Heidi has worked with many older adults who are often overwhelmed by the complexity of the system and unsure of how to get help. That is why she places great importance on raising awareness of patients’ concerns and needs, while promoting better guidance and a more humane approach to care.

Heidi believes that providing better care requires not only technical skills, but also great human sensitivity. Patients and their loved ones must be at the heart of the healthcare system and treated with compassion and respect. Listening to patients and learning from their experiences is essential to identifying problems and finding solutions to improve the healthcare system.
